Planning Your Garden

Keeping your garden organized will help you get the most from the growing season. Here are some helpful hints! Thanks to A-B-C OF VEGETABLE GARDENING BY EBEN E. REXFORD

Plan where you want your rows to go, being sure to leave enough space between them for easy maneuvering.

Plan on planting your rows going North-South. This insures most sunlight through out the day, with very little shading.

Figure out the eventual height of each vegetable you want to plant. Then arrange them in tallest to shortest in descending order for each of your rows.

Draw a diagram of your garden, writing down what is being planted in each row. This will help you keep track of everything later on.

Now you’re ready to begin planting!
