Pea plants are great container garden options because their tall vines do not require much horizontal space at all. The best time to harvest peas is when the pods are plump and full before the seeds inside have fully formed (before it turns yellow). Pick them every two days or so until that happens, then dry them out completely in an oven over low heat on some parchment paper, so they stay fresh longer without spoiling.
